recording artist Chappell Roan has released her single & video today for
the intoxicating “Good Hurt” which will be followed by her debut EP “SCHOOL
NIGHTS” on Friday, September 15th.
The compelling “Good Hurt” video directed by Griffin Stoddard, premiered
exclusively via Interview Magazine yesterday who called
the video “a strong indicator of her imminent popularity.”
Roan has
crafted a remarkable debut EP, playing the piano with passion and penning
lyrics about loss, love and heartbreak while singing with world-weary wisdom
that belies her 19 years. “When I sing” she says “I want people to feel
every emotion. I hope they get a better understanding of me as a human being
and not just a singer.” This kind of honesty defines conversations with the
songstress and is ultimately why her music instantly resonates. “SCHOOL NIGHTS”
offers a compelling first look at a new artist with a creative vision,
illuminated by her dynamic vocals and vivid lyricism.
The
EP cover art is illustrated by Abbey Watkins, an acclaimed London based
illustrator and print designer.
